The Picolo.net HD4 is a four-input HDcctv™ video encoder that combines all the advantages of HD video with the benefits of HDcctv™ and ONVIF IP networking.
With the Picolo.net HD4, HDcctv video streams can be transferred, viewed, analyzed and stored anywhere on the IP network. The video data generated by the high definition video must be compressed before being transmitted over the IP network. To meet the various platform, bandwidth and usage requirements, the Picolo.net HD4 encodes multiple H.264 (and/or MJPEG) streams per camera.

The Picolo.net HD4 video encoder is easy to integrate into video surveillance systems. It features an ONVIF 2.0 interface which guarantees seamless interoperability with major Video Management Software. Moreover, easy-to-use device setup web pages provide a high degree of flexibility for programming video stream profiles, and verifying their characteristics, either locally or remotely. The Picolo.net HD4 features alarm inputs and relay outputs as well as an RS485 port for PTZ camera control via the Pelco-D protocol. The Picolo.net HD4 can be ordered with 4 audio inputs and outputs, 2 audio input and outputs or no audio. Out of the box, the Picolo.net HD4 can be placed on any surface or wall mounted. A DIN rail mount clip is also included. An optional 19-inch rack mount accessory combines two Picolo.net HD4 encoders in a 19-inch rack module leading to a total of eight video inputs per module. Accessories such as a power supply and US, UK and European power cables are also available.

The Picolo.net HD4 features a high-speed network interface of up to 1 GB/s data transfer. It
is compatible with several network security protocols including the secure HTTPS, and the encrypted SSL/TLS network protocols.
